Eligibility and Participation Criteria
The Fibonacci International Olympiad Exchange Program is an international academic and cultural opportunity offered to high-achieving students.
To qualify for the Exchange Program, a student must meet all of the following conditions:
Students who do not meet all of these requirements are not eligible for the Exchange Program.
Eligible students may be assigned by the Fibonacci International Olympiad Committee to one of the following program destinations:
Students may not choose the country or city of their Exchange Program participation themselves.
The destination country and city will be determined by the Fibonacci International Olympiad Committee after the World Championship results are finalized.
The Committee may take into consideration the student's category, score, ranking, age and grade level, program capacity, availability of partner institutions, program dates, and organizational conditions.
The assigned country, city, and program dates will be officially communicated to the eligible student at a later stage by the Committee.
Achieving 1st Place alone is not sufficient to qualify for the Exchange Program. The student must also receive a score of at least 95 points.
Likewise, receiving 95 points or above without achieving 1st Place does not create eligibility.
Therefore, both conditions must be met simultaneously:
Where included in the program package, the following services are covered under Fibonacci International Olympiad sponsorship:
However, any taxes, duties, local taxes, tourism taxes, official charges, or other mandatory financial obligations arising from the country, city, venue, or organization of the Exchange Program must be paid by the student/parent. Such taxes and mandatory charges are not covered by Fibonacci sponsorship and remain the financial responsibility of the participant.
Once the country, city, dates, and participation details of the Exchange Program have been officially communicated to the student, the student is expected to participate in the designated program within the announced dates.
If a student does not participate after the program details have been officially communicated, the student's Exchange Program right will expire.
An unused Exchange Program right:
If the student wishes to qualify again in a future season, they must meet the competition and achievement criteria announced for that season again.
The country, city, dates, program content, and participation procedures of the Exchange Program will be announced separately by the Fibonacci International Olympiad Committee.
The Committee reserves the right to assign eligible students to the most appropriate country and program based on available capacity, academic and organizational conditions, and program feasibility.
All decisions regarding eligibility, country and city assignment, program dates, and participation rights are subject to the official World Championship results and the final approval of the Fibonacci International Olympiad Committee.
